Match your lamp to your foundation A curing lamp is built to cure the foundation of your manicure — your base gel — not just the color on top. Pulse is engineered to fully cure Multi-Flex Gel and the Luminary system. If you're using a different base gel as your foundation, check that brand's lamp requirements before purchasing. Improper curing your gel as a result of a mismatched lamp is one of the most common causes of lifting, service breakdown, and client sensitivities.

Test your light regularly
Like all LED lamps, Pulse gradually loses power over time — and a lamp that's no longer running at full strength won't fully cure your gel. Under-curing is one of the most common causes of lifting, service breakdown, and client sensitivities. After your first year of use, we recommend testing your Pulse once a month to confirm it's still curing at full power. It only takes a minute. Watch how to test your Pulse.

A note on heat sensitivity While Pulse dramatically reduces the heat spike, it does not eliminate the sensation of heat for every client. Heat sensitivity varies person to person, and a small percentage of clients will still feel warmth during cure. This is normal.
