The So Danca BL302 Jive Ballroom & Latin Practice Shoes offer an interesting alternative to the traditional all-suede practice shoe. Designed with So Danca's Duo Sole, they combine suede with a rubber insert to create a little more traction and stability while preserving the smooth movement dancers need for turns, pivots and travelling across the floor.

Lightweight, flexible and comfortably low-heeled, BL302 is designed for regular practice, teaching and social dancing. The lace-up upper keeps the foot secure, while breathable panels and a stable 1.5" heel make it particularly practical for longer sessions.

BL302 feels more contemporary than the classic leather Oxford-style practice shoe, but underneath the modern styling is a very practical dance design.

The low, broad heel keeps the dancer comfortably grounded, while the lace-up fit and hybrid sole give the shoe a secure, controlled character. The three colourways change its personality considerably too: Black feels understated and studio-ready, Hot Pink/Black adds a stronger sporty edge, while Leopard brings more personality without changing the technical performance of the shoe.

The defining feature of BL302 is So Danca's Duo Sole, a hybrid construction combining suede with a rubber insert. Traditional suede allows the foot to travel and turn smoothly across a suitable dance floor, while the rubber section introduces additional traction and control.

For dancers who find a completely suede-soled practice shoe a little too free-moving, this can be a particularly useful middle ground. You still have a sole designed for Ballroom and Latin movement, but with a more planted sensation underfoot.

The 1.5" / approx. 3.8 cm wide-based heel provides a stable working height for long practice sessions, while the lace-up front lets dancers adjust the fit securely through the instep. Flexible construction through the arch allows the shoe to move naturally with the foot rather than feeling like a conventional trainer.

Breathable mesh panels are incorporated into the upper for additional ventilation. Materials vary by colourway: Black combines canvas and mesh, Hot Pink/Black uses man-made leather with mesh, while the Leopard print combines satin and mesh.
